Book Flights and Hotels to France

Book flights and hotels to France in one search. Enter where you are flying from, your destination in France and your dates: the tool below compares prices across airlines, travel agencies and hotel sites so you can choose the best option for your trip.

How to book flights and hotels to France

  1. Search flights first. Enter your departure city, a French airport (or “Paris” to compare both airports) and your dates, then sort by price or total travel time.
  2. Check the real total. Before choosing a fare, add checked baggage and seat selection: a cheap fare without luggage can cost more than a full-service ticket.
  3. Then compare hotels for the same dates. Filter by neighbourhood, not just by price: a central hotel saves you time and transport costs every day.
  4. Book refundable when you can. Many hotels offer free cancellation until a few days before arrival, so you can lock in a good rate early and keep your plans flexible.

How to get the best price

  • Be flexible by a few days. Midweek flights (Tuesday to Thursday) are often cheaper than Fridays and Sundays.
  • Compare both Paris airports. Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY) are both well connected to the city centre by public transport.
  • Look beyond Paris. Nice, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux and Toulouse have direct international flights and can save you a long train transfer. See our popular routes to France.
  • Book school holidays early. July, August and the French school holidays sell out fast, for flights and hotels alike.

Which airport should you fly into?

Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) handles most long-haul flights and is the best choice for Paris and for Normandy, which is about two hours away by train. Paris Orly (ORY) is closer to the city and popular for European and domestic flights. For the French Riviera, fly into Nice (NCE); for Provence, Marseille (MRS); and for the Alps, Lyon (LYS) or Geneva. You can check terminals and transport links on the official Paris AƩroport website.

When to book flights and hotels to France

For July and August, book 2 to 4 months ahead: that is when France is busiest and prices rise fastest. For spring and autumn, 1 to 2 months is usually enough, and in winter you can often find good last-minute deals outside Christmas and the school holidays. Not sure when to go? Getting from the airport to your hotel

From Paris CDG, the RER B train reaches the city centre in about 35 minutes; from Orly, metro line 14 takes about 25 minutes. In Nice, tram line 2 links both terminals to the city centre and the port. In Marseille, a shuttle bus connects the airport with Saint-Charles station. If you land late at night, book a hotel near your arrival point or a taxi in advance, and check our Paris travel guide for more transport tips.

Where to stay in France

Choosing the right area matters as much as choosing the hotel. Start with our hotels in France guide, then go deeper with our Paris travel guide, our guide to where to stay in Nice, the Provence travel guide and the Normandy travel guide.

Is it cheaper to book flights and hotels together?

Sometimes. Package deals can be cheaper in high season, especially for city breaks, but booking separately gives you more choice and more flexible cancellation. The search above lets you compare both, so check the total price either way before you pay.

Before you pay

Prices are set by the providers and can change quickly, so always check the final price, luggage allowance and cancellation rules on the provider’s page before you pay.
